Gen Z Insights: July 2023

On July 1st, we celebrated the two-year anniversary of NIL (Name, Images & Likeness), which marked a significant milestone for NCAA Student Athletes. Finally, the NCAA allowed these athletes to be compensated for their immense influence on college campuses and among Gen Z. Since the beginning, 98Strong has been at the forefront of the NIL movement, expanding to 1,000 universities and providing unparalleled value to our brand clients throughout their entire sales funnel. We differentiate ourselves in the sports sponsorship space through a unique approach.

As NIL continues to evolve, it is crucial to understand the consumer behavior of Student Athletes. In this month's infographic, we dive into the Summer Training Schedule of NCAA Student Athletes. Furthermore, we highlight our latest Student Athlete Spotlight, Ayanna Palomo, who has produced remarkable content for Bad Birdie.

For the client case study of June, we feature Nova Naturals, who are currently running targeted retailer campaigns with two beverage portfolio companies, Steaz & C2O.

Ayanna Palomo

"The adrenaline rush I experience when running gets brought up, is like no other. Being a part of the running world has helped me grow my resilience. Having one arm has been a challenge but learning to adapt has taught me how much I am capable of accomplishing. God knew I could manage the weight that came with having one arm, and he was right! Bad Birdie is amazing for opening their brand towards athletes and inspiring others to strive for greatness."

Case Study

Nova Naturals approached 98Strong with a specific goal of boosting retailer support in key markets, increasing website traffic, and generating trials among Gen Z. Both Steaz and C2O align seamlessly with the everyday lifestyle of NCAA Student Athletes, making it an ideal partnership.

The campaign is designed to deliver long-term value over a span of six months for these leading beverage brands. In just the first month, we witnessed a tremendous impact with website traffic skyrocketing by over 150%. We achieved this remarkable KPI goal through the power of continuous social media storytelling by NCAA Student Athletes, coupled with authentic content.

To delve deeper into the impact of the first month of this collaboration, we invite you to explore our comprehensive Full Case Study, which can be found here.
